- 1797 Liberty Cap Half Cent. C-2. Rarity-3. Plain Edge. Fine-12 BN (NGC). Well struck on a centered planchet that boasts wide dentils on the obverse with the date low and Liberty's head centered. Microscopically rough surfaces and dark brown overall. Identifiable by a small nick on Liberty's chin and a few others in the fields of the obverse and reverse.
