The Crimson Collection. For the collector who wants coins that look closest to "as minted" as possible, here is a bone-white example of the popular "1853 arrows" dime. The reverse die was only lightly clashed and the obverse die recently polished when the coin was struck, which permitted formidable detailing and plentiful frosty luster upon striking. The grade could have reached somewhat higher than even MS-64 if not for a very few shallow surface grazes in the obverse left field.
