Lot Description

1911-D Indian Quarter Eagle. MS-61 (NGC). Brilliant and lustrous with most design features showing sharp definition. The "D" mintmark is not bold, but it is clear. As noted by David Akers in his quarter eagle monograph: "Its mintage is less than one fourth the mintage of the next rarest date in the series."
