1793 Cohen-2, Breen-2. Rarity-3. VG-8 (NGC). Very attractive even medium brown with finely granular surfaces. Nicely detailed for the grade, with a bold date, full peripheral legends, and well-defined central devices. Some old scratches and scrapes are present, one on Liberty’s neck, another vertical scrape between BE of LIBERTY through the top of Liberty’s head, thin parallel pin scratches on right side of reverse wreath. These marks are old and toned-over and do not significantly affect the visual appeal. A highly desirable specimen, a perfect beginning to a value-oriented collection by design types.
