- Lot Description
- Lustrous and boldly struck with handsome target-like toning on both sides. The obverse features highlights of cobalt blue and champagne-apricot to dominant antique copper, while the reverse is lighter in appearance with cobalt blue, salmon-pink and champagne-gold iridescence drifting from the rim to the center. From the first year of half dime coinage using the Capped Bust design, this 1829 would do nicely in a type set of richly toned silver.
