Lot Description

1850 Braided Hair Cent. N-7. Rarity-2. Grellman Die State b. MS-66 BN (NGC). Outstanding surface quality and eye appeal. The obverse retains about half or more of the original mint red with modest fading to tan, and no carbon spots. Sharp on all but a couple of the upper stars near the tip of her coronet. On the reverse the red has faded to light brown and teal with satiny luster spanning the fields. A solid coin for the specialist who demands quality and impressive preservation.
