1877-S Trade Dollar. MS-63 PL (PCGS). A particularly inviting type candidate from the circulation strike trade dollar series, this coin is one of only two examples of the 1877-S issue to have received a PL designation from PCGS as of this writing. Indeed, the fields are highly reflective and form a splendid backdrop to satiny, smartly impressed design elements. Otherwise brilliant, blushes of rich steel-blue and reddish-russet iridescence along the upper obverse and lower reverse borders provide additional appeal.
