Lot Description
Undated (1831-1834) Christopher Bechtler $1 Gold. K-1. Rarity-4. 30.G., Star. EF-40 (PCGS). CAC. An exceptionally attractive example of this popular early private gold coinage issue in spite of a lengthy stay in circulation. Deep golden surfaces are alive with extremely deep violet-orange toning, especially at the peripheries. Completely unmarked to the naked eye and able to withstand close-in examination as well. Choice for the grade and a fine entry-level specimen for those with a beginning interest in the private gold series. PCGS# 10064.
