1773 Virginia Halfpenny. Newman 7-D, W-1480. 7 Harp Strings, No Period After GEORGIVS. MS-64 BN (PCGS). 117.9 grains. The smooth deep golden-tan surfaces exhibit hints of mint orange frost in the deeply protected design areas. Choice for the grade with no marks that need our written attention. A moderately scarce variety that was not represented in the Ford Collection.
