1736 Auctori Plebis Token. Breen-1148. HISPANIOLA, Blundered Date. Fine-15 (PCGS). Deep olive and chestnut brown surfaces present a well worn but essentially unmarked appearance to the unaided eye. Bust right on obverse, legend around, reverse with Hibernia halfpenny style harp, HISPANIOLA above, blundered date below reads 17336. A rare prize, only the third example seen by the present writer (FVV) in 25 years of cataloging, including some of the greatest collections to cross the auction block. Choice for the grade.
