- 1883 Trade Dollar. Proof-62 Cameo (NGC). A predominantly olive-gray example that reveals more vivid undertones of powder blue and pinkish-apricot as the surfaces dip into a light. Both sides are sharply struck from the rims to the centers, as befits the method of manufacture. Mintage: 979 coins for the final official issue in the trade dollar series, all of which are Proofs.
