- Lot Description
- 1891-O Liberty Seated Dime. MS-65+ (PCGS).
This is the final year of issue of the Liberty Seated design and the first issue of dimes from the New Orleans Mint since 1860. Both the obverse and reverse are largely brilliant, accented by swaths of golden and olive shades near the borders. Intricate die cracks are seen, particularly on the reverse. Despite the plentiful mintage of 4,540,000 pieces, this issue is seldom found above the MS-65 level, making this premium Gem and important offering. Just 18 coins have been certified finer by PCGS.
PCGS Population; 1; 18 finer.
