Lot Description

Both sides of this lovely example are bright and fully untoned. The strike is bold to sharp throughout the design, and the surfaces are uncommonly smooth both for the issue and the assigned grade. The low mintage 1895-S Morgan dollar was produced to the extent of just 400,000 pieces, and it is one of the most challenging issues of its type to locate in attractive Mint State preservation, as here.
