An amazing, totally original and very high end SUPERB GEM! Holy cow this coin is as bold and fresh today as it was when it was struck, it looks like it just came off the dies. The eye appeal is superior to probably every single example that survives! WOW! Tied for second FINEST graded DCAM at PCGS, this is a PRISTINE example for the date or type purposes. The mirrors are exceptionally deep, smooth and reflect brilliantly in the light. The well struck reliefs are highly frosted and wonderfully contrasted against the mirrored fields. The contrast is so BOLD the reliefs seem to stand out in full 3D effect! Both sides are flawless and the eye appeal is VERY HIGH END! Only 725 Proofs were struck. PCGS 5, NGC 8, CAC 4. This coin appeared in two early Regency Auctions, and both times realized $17,625 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $20,000. Just a single PR67+ DCAM is graded higher. Cert.
