Lot Description

1786 New Jersey Copper. Maris 14-J, W-4810. Rarity-1. Narrow Shield, Straight Plow Beam. EF-45 BN (NGC). This bold tobacco brown example is well centered in strike on the obverse, the reverse only slightly less so and drawn toward the lower right border just a bit. As such, all devices are sharp and clear in the absence of all but light, even wear. A bit of minor pitting/surface scale in isolated areas is mentioned solely for accuracy, and there are no distracting marks. Original and visually appealing in a high grade circulated New Jersey copper.
