Lot Description
1936 Lincoln Cent. FS-102. Doubled Die Obverse, Type II. MS-65 RD (PCGS). Beautiful salmon pink color blankets the reverse, the obverse with even more vivid rose-red peripheral color around a lighter pale gold center. An enchanting Gem, both sides also offer razor sharp striking detail and smooth frosty luster. This obverse of this Doubled Die variety was created from a hub with a broken letter R in the word LIBERTY. Doubling is plainest on the letters ERTY in that word, as well as all four digits in the date and, to a lesser extent, the motto IN GOD WE TRUST. PCGS Population: 20; 16 finer in this category (MS-66+ RD finest). PCGS# 92650. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
