1869 Silver Three-Cent Piece. Proof-66 (NGC). Mottled antique copper, steel gray and powder blue patina adorns both sides of this Gem Proof silver three-cent piece. Fully struck, this is also a handsomely original specimen. The 1869 trime is virtually unobtainable in circulation strike at this grade level, increasing the demand for Proofs to represent the issue in type sets and date sets.
