A phenomenal copper-nickel clad Kennedy half dollar made for commercial use, this is one of the two finest examples of the 1980-P listed in the PCGS Population Report. (The other realized $2,280 in our November 2024 Showcase Auction, lot 5111.) The offered coin is universally sharp in strike detail and possesses smooth, softly frosted luster across both sides.
