Our multiple offerings at this grade level in the present sale notwithstanding, this first year bronze Indian cent issue is scarce in premium full Red Gem Uncirculated preservation. The present example is awash in vivid reddish-rose mint color that blends nicely with smooth, satiny mint luster. The dies were worn at the time of striking, a typical feature of this issue, but they still imparted bold to sharp detail throughout the design. A pretty piece, and just right for a high grade Indian cent set.
