A handsomely toned example with dominant deep honey-gold color, both sides also reveal tinges of lighter rose iridescence. Boldly defined for the grade. While the estimated overall survival rate of 4% to 5% for this double eagle issue is larger than most others from this facility, the popularity of Carson City Mint coinage means that demand for attractive examples of the 1878-CC $20 far outstrips supply.
