1874 Liberty Seated Dime. Arrows. Proof-64 (NGC). Iridescent salmon pink, champagne-apricot and golden-olive patina is most vivid when viewed with the aid of direct lighting. Well mirrored in the fields, the design elements are sharply defined with a softly frosted finish from the dies. The 1874 is one of only two Proof issues in the brief Arrows, Legend Obverse Liberty Seated dime subseries of 1873 to 1874, survivors from a mintage of 700 specimens always in demand for type purposes.
