- 1900-S Barber Dime. MS-66+ (PCGS). CAC.
Beautiful satin surfaces display somewhat mottled steel-gray toning with blushes of iridescent reddish-gold and blue color scattered on each side. The patina frames a smartly impressed design offering razor sharp to full detail. The most readily obtainable San Francisco Mint Barber dime produced up to that point, the 1900-S is still rarer in Mint State than such later date issues as the 1905-S, 1911-S, 1912-S, 1914-S and 1916-S. In the finest Mint State grades (MS-66 and higher) this issue is a significant rarity by any measure.
PCGS Population: 9; just 2 are finer (both MS-67).
PCGS# 4823. NGC ID: 23EE.
