1848 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. WB-5. Rarity-4. MS-62 (PCGS). OGH. Dusky sandy-gold, light olive and pale mauve patina blends over both sides of this richly original example. Conditionally scarce for this lower-mintage 1840s half dollar issue, the total delivery of which amounted to only 580,000 pieces, and most survivors of which are circulated to one degree or another.
