1876 Trade Dollar. Type I/II. Proof-64+ (NGC). This handsome piece is warmly toned in olive-gray and rose-russet with underlying powder blue and champagne-pink iridescence. The strike is well executed and generally full, the surfaces nicely preserved and just a whisper away from full Gem quality. Popular now as then, the 1876 is the trade dollar's Centennial year Proof issue. Provenance: From the Pacific Rim Collection. Earlier ex Eric P.
