1894 Barber Quarter. Proof-66+ Cameo (PCGS). CAC. A beautiful Gem Proof Barber quarter, an example with beaming mirror luster in the fields accompanying a strike that is amazingly close to complete on the richly frosted devices. Delicate golden toning on the reverse suggests that the present specimen spent much of its life in the original mint tissue wrapper or perhaps in a Wayte Raymond-style album. A very important prospect that has been carefully preserved for years for the Barber quarter specialist. Only 972 pieces were struck. Highly deserving of the CAC sticker.
