1873 Liberty Head Double Eagle. Open 3. MS-62+ (NGC). CAC. Handsome orange-rose surfaces are attractively original and nearly in the Choice Uncirculated category. Sharply, if not fully struck in all areas, this is an endearing Mint State type candidate from the brief and conditionally challenging Type II Liberty Head double eagle series of 1866 to 1876.
