Lot Description

Heck DS1, Breen Die State II. This is a well struck piece with nearly complete denticulation framing design elements that remain boldly defined in the presence of overall light wear. Warmly toned in a blend of golden-brown, olive and pale reddish-rose, the surfaces are generally smooth and well composed with mostly trivial marks scattered about. Tiny rim nicks on the reverse outside the letters TA in STATES and IC in AMERICA are mentioned solely for provenance purposes. Nice EAC VF25, and previously listed as tied for CC#17 for these dies on the <em>1794largecents.com</em> website.
