1834 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-103. Rarity-2. Large Date, Large Letter. MS-64 (PCGS). CAC. This beautifully and originally toned example exhibits vivid iridescent patina of cobalt blue, sea green, rose and lilac all expertly blended and with ample satiny luster to invite repeated rotation under a light. Fully frosted, sharply struck devices contrast nicely with the fields and no marks of any consequence can be found. A solid near-Gem that would do equally well in a high quality type or variety set.
