Strongly lustrous for the assigned grade, direct viewing angles readily reveal a frosty mint finish with decided semi-reflective tendencies in the fields. Both sides are lightly toned, generally in even silver-olive, but with a gentle mottling of powder blue iridescence in the right obverse field. Boldy to sharply struck with most features crisp. This is only the sixth Mint State example of this scarce JR number for the 1829 dime that we have offered in nearly 25 years, during which time we also offered a rare Proof from these dies.
