Lot Description

1855-D Liberty Half Eagle. Medium D. AU-58 (PCGS). CAC. The Medium D is scarce compared to the more commonly seen Large D variety of this year. Attractive surfaces with no distracting bagmarks and the strike is sharp throughout. One of the finer examples currently reported, and a mintage of 22,432 pieces is recorded at the Dahlonega Mint.
