- The First Through Last Collection. Hands-down, this is a fantastic example of 1911-D with features that individually elevate well above the nominal MS-61 grade assigned by PCGS. The surface emits vast brilliance for such a small coin, and both sides show evidence of an outstanding strike off of fresh dies -- right down to a reasonably bold mintmark. Fleeting hairlines and some limited irregular surface abrasions account for the technical grade level.
