1893 Barber Half Dollar. Proof-65 Deep Cameo (PCGS). This is a simply outstanding specimen that combines a deeply cameoed finish with expertly preserved surfaces. Essentially untoned with full striking detail, it is difficult for us to imagine a more attractive and desirable Proof Barber half dollar at the assigned grade level. From a mintage of 792 pieces, the second Proof issue of this type from the Philadelphia Mint. PCGS# 96540. NGC ID: 24NV. PCGS Population: 3; 11 finer in this category (Proof-67+ Deep Cameo finest).
