A second premium quality offering for the 1807 BD-8 half eagle from the spectacular Chicago Collection. This thoroughly appealing Choice AU example offers stronger quality and eye appeal than many lower end Mint State coins of the type that we have handled over the years. Nearly complete mint frost blends with handsome golden-olive color. Discerning bidders will complete vigorously to secure this thoroughly PQ coin. BD Die State c/a, the earlier state than that represented by the 1807 BD-8 in the preceding lot. There is no obverse die crack from the lower edge after star 13, and no clash marks on the reverse within the vertical stripes of the shield.
