- Description du lot
- At first glance, this coin looks like a Proof! Deep 8"++ mirrors beam boldly from all over. Even when you use a strong glass you are more than impressed this coin is not hacked up. When you twirl the coin, the mirrors have that "watery roll"-highly unusual for any DMPL, let alone an 1884. This coin has some light toning on the outer rims only. It has powerful contrast. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and are loaded with GEMMY white frost. The eye appeal (especially for an 1884) is phenomenal! PCGS 38, NGC 14, CAC 4. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $4,080 in June 2020. You can look hard for years and you will not find a GEM black and white 1884. For whatever reason, they come dull and crusty looking. This coin is light years better! Cert. Number 43783733 PCGS # 97151
