Lot Description

19 graded PR-65 CAM, 16 higher at NGC. The designs exhibit incredibly accurate details, thanks to an exquisite strike that also provided lovely, frosted texture right up to where the edges plunge into the reflective depths of the fields. As befits a proof (and not a circulation-strike doppelganger, common for the date), wire rims show clearly, and the reeds are properly squared off. Pleasing Navy-blue splashes portions of the obverse rim, and nearly the entire reverse rim.
