1904 Liberty Head Double Eagle. MS-64 PL (NGC). The 1904 Liberty double eagle is far the most common issue of the entire series from 1850 to 1907. However, prooflike examples are still infrequently encountered, save for the small hoard in this sale. This piece has fully mirrored honey-golden fields with a hint of contrast.
