- 1832 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-122. Rarity-1. Small Letters. MS-63 (PCGS).
This elegant piece combines a softly frosted reverse with an obverse that shows modest semi-reflective tendencies to an otherwise satiny finish. Both sides are lightly and attractively toned, the obverse generally only around the periphery, with surfaces that are smooth enough to suggest a higher Choice Mint State grade. Just shy of Condition Census for the otherwise readily obtainable 1832 O-122 dies, and eagerly awaiting inclusion in another impressive numismatic cabinet.
Provenance: From the Collection of James Allaire Millholland, 1842-1911.
