Lot Description

A rare coin in Proof, especially so at this premium Gem level. The surfaces are free of all traces of carbon and the colors in the toning are a blend of rose-copper, sky-blue with tinges of greenish-blue to crimson. Mintage of 1,050 pieces in Proof, the lowest mintage of all the Matte Proof issues, this survivor is clearly one of the finest seen in terms of preservation.
