A fabulous and highly lustrous SUPERB 44-S Wartime nickel. Sharply struck steps, definition in the portico is a little light because of an advanced state of a broken reverse die. Impressive, blooming brilliance in the satiny smooth surfaces bursts through a very subtle blush of clear gold tone. The eye appeal is excellent. PCGS 19, NGC 1. The most recent sold for $1,860 in October 2022 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $2,600. Just three are graded finer, and the last PCGS MS68 FS sold in 2015 for over $14,000!
