Lot Description

1869 Pattern Half Dollar. Judd-749, Pollock-832. Rarity-6+. Proof-61 (NGC). Standard Silver design with a right-facing bust of Liberty serving as the focal feature on the obverse. Liberty is wearing a diadem inscribed LIBERTY. The legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is around the border and the motto IN GOD WE TRUST is inscribed on a scroll below the bust. The reverse exhibits the denomination 50 CENTS surrounded by a wreath of oak and laurel leaves, with the inscription STANDARD SILVER above and the date 1869 below. Struck in silver with a plain edge.<br />     A silver-gray example with sufficient vibrancy to the finish and mostly small, wispy contact marks helping to define the grade.
