- This well struck near-Gem exhibits warm orange and pinkish-tan colors on satin to softly frosted surfaces. The Snow-9 attribution refers to one of three spectacular varieties among Flying Eagle cents of this year, in which a Flying Eagle die clashed with a die of an unrelated denomination. The present coin shows outlines of a Liberty Seated half dollar on the obverse, particularly prominent in the field above the eagle's head and through the letters in the word AMERICA at the right border. Here indeed is a prize for the specialist.
