- 1836 Capped Bust Half Dollar. Lettered Edge. O-106. Rarity-1. Beaded Border on Reverse. MS-62 (NGC). An immensely popular die marriage for the 1836 Lettered Edge Half, O-106 is the only variety in the entire Capped Bust series of 1807-1836 that displays a raised reverse border with beaded segments. Here represented by an appealing BU survivor, this piece is bright and satiny with minimal toning in golden iridescence. Well struck for the type, and free of significant abrasions.
