A colorful and delightful SUPERB GEM. Blazing and brilliant mirrors glimmer boldly in the fields. Peripheral purple, blue, orange, and gold frame brilliant silver central devices on the obverse and untoned on the reverse. Some ancient hairlines are noted on the obverse, and is what we guess kept CAC from beaning this otherwise nearly flawless piece. Only 912 Proofs were struck. PCGS9, NGC 19. Just three are graded finer. The most recent example sold in January 2022 for $2,340. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $4,750.
