1885 Liberty Seated Quarter. Proof-67 (PCGS). Splendid surfaces are expertly preserved and richly original. Although deep argent-gray and antique-copper patina dominates the appearance, there are also vivid reddish-gold, sunset-yellow, cobalt blue and salmon pink undertones. Strong reflectivity in the fields is also evident. Only 930 Proof Liberty Seated quarters were struck in 1885, and most survivors grade no finer than Choice.
