1723 Wood's Hibernia Halfpenny. Martin 4.50-Gc.9, W-13120. Rarity-7. VF-20 (PCGS). Handsome glossy copper surfaces with overall bold definition remaining from a nicely centered and well executed strike. Lightly struck in the centers, typical of the type, with a dull mark in the lower right obverse field and minor planchet roughness in the center of the reverse. Martin 4.50-Gc.9 is a rare die variety of the 1723 Hibernia halfpenny, this pleasing mid grade survivor sure to have no difficulty finding its way into a specialized collection of William Wood coinage.
