Lot Description

1847-C Liberty Quarter Eagle. Winter Variety 1 (8-F), the only known dies. AU-53 (NGC). Rich olive-khaki color to both sides, we also see flickers of lighter pale-rose tinting here and there around the peripheries. There are no sizeable abrasions to report, but both sides are a bit glossy in texture with light hairlining that also points to a cleaning. A more affordable example of this popular type issue in the Charlotte Mint Quarter Eagle series.
