- A beautifully toned Gem with an overlay of lightly speckled reddish-rose iridescence on a base of antique silver tinting. Both sides also offer appreciable contrast between frosty devices and semi-reflective fields. Though the 1890-S Morgan dollar is relatively common, as an issue, prooflike examples are seldom encountered, and are usually heavily abraded. The present offering is a delightful anomaly and sits among the finest 1890-S silver dollars certified by PCGS in their PL category.
