Lot Description

1786 Vermont Copper. Landscape. RR-6, Bressett 4-D, W-2020. Rarity-2. VERMONTENSIUM. Fine-12 (PCGS). OGH. Struck off center on a flawed planchet, this piece nicely illustrates the challenges associated with collecting Landscape Vermonts. Actually the planchet is quite nice for the type with only a couple of shallow, closely associated fissures over the lower obverse. Those design elements that are present are quite bold for the grade, although the detail does soften noticeably toward the lower left obverse and lower right reverse.
