Lot Description
From the Premier Barber Collection. WOW, WOW, WOW! Obviously, this coin sat untouched since the day it left the bank 111 years ago. We do rank it as SUPER HIGH END! (It did come out of an NGC MS68 holder). Absolutely immaculate surfaces are special. Even using a strong glass will find you NO imperfections what so ever. The texture is satiny smooth. A warm glowing like luster beams from all over. Both sides are mostly original white with a splash of light gold. Miss Liberty and every detail is needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is INCREDIBLE! PCGS 3, NGC 2, CAC 2. PCGS Has graded 2 MS67+ (the other is in impounded in a major collection). The current Collectors Universe Value is $9,500.00-which to us seems way too cheap. Even if you do not collect MS Barbers but buy really neat pieces or need a Type coin-check this WILD GEM out. You certainly can NOT buy a better one! As a comparison, a similarly low pop Philly mint issue, the 1902 in PCGS MS67 CAC sold at auction for $18,563 in an April 2018 Internet only auction. Cert. Number 25603604 PCGS # 5645
