Lot Description

Undated (1795) North Wales Halfpenny. Musante GW-51, Baker-34, W-11150. Two Stars. Copper. Plain Edge. EF-45 (PCGS). Ruddy golden-brown patina throughout, a few streaks of crimson-red are evident near the center of the reverse. Pleasingly smooth in hand with the typical strike for the variety, with purposeful softness throughout intended to make the issue look old and circulated from the outset. This is the usual variety seen for this intriguing type with single stars at left and right, flanking the base of the harp. PCGS# 770. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
